While on tour, two members of the Irish group, Celtic Thunder, performed a mesmerizing cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s hit song, “The Sound of Silence.” The talented young musicians are Colm Keegan and Keith Harkin.Simon and Garfunkel were one of the most famous music duos of all time. The American singer-songwriters were one of the highest-selling acts in the 1960s and 1970s. Their wonderful contribution to music is remembered and celebrated by both the generation of their time, and the younger generations of today.The haunting song, “Sound of Silence”, was perhaps one of their most successful hits. It was in effect a commentary on the problems of society and the direction it was moving in.
